EIA and its Objectives



Environment Impact Assessment can be defined as the process of identifying, providing, evaluating and mitigating the bio-physical, social and other relevant effects of development proposes.


Objectives of EIA
1.     To ensure environmental consideration addressed in to the development decision making process/activities.
2.     To avoid or minimize or offset adverse effects toi environment from development proposals.
3.     To protect producing and capacity of natural system/ resources.
4.     To promote development with sustainability resource use and management opportunities.
5.     In conclusion we can say that the general objective of EIA is to use resource in sustainable manner.
